Hydrotherapy - what to prepare
Your Hydrotherapy session:
Welcome to DogFit Conditioning & Performance. We’re so excited to be part of your dog’s total well-being.
Once you’ve booked your initial assessment and/or your vet has cleared your dog for hydrotherapy, you will need to prepare a few things for your dog’s first session.

Before attending your hydrotherapy session at the DogFit Conditioning & Performance Centre, please take note of the following:
What to do:
-
Send your signed Vet referral form via e-mail or bring to your first appointment (if required);
-
Brush your dog to remove loose hair & grass;
-
Wash your dog if necessary to remove any dirt/mud;
-
Arrive early so that your dog is on time for their Hydro session;
-
Toilet your dog before the treadmill session (please clean up after your dog if you need to).
What to bring:
-
Vet referral form, if required & not supplied already
-
Proof of vaccination or titre test certificate (if not supplied already)
-
Your dog on lead
-
A towel to dry your dog off with

Lots of great value treats (No cheese, meat, or fresh food of any type)
When your dog CANNOT have a session:

If your dog has any of the following, we cannot proceed with your session:
-
Open wounds
-
Infectious or contagious conditions such as upset tummy, kennel cough, ear, eye, and skin infections
-
Heart condition or disease

If your dog has incontinence, please advise us before you book so that we can accommodate your dog’s needs. As there is a clean-up fee for dogs defecating in the hydro-treadmill, these sessions need to be managed carefully.
